The Impact of Customer Love – The Seattle Seahawk’s 12th Man (apptentive.com)

The Seattle Seahawks just punched their ticket to Super Bowl 48.
Let’s take a look at how they got there:
12thman
On December 2, 2013, at CenturyLink Field, against the New Orleans Saints, Seahawks fans registered a decibel reading of 137.6, a Guinness Book World Record.
What’s the 12th Man? It represents the entire Seattle Seahawks fan base and  pays respect to the loudest cheers in the league that makes visiting CenturyLink every offense’s nightmare. We’ve always said that when the people who love you share their praises, good things happen. In this case, the non-stop yelling and screaming fans of the Seahawks energized their team to the Super Bowl and the best home record in the league.
The entire Seahawks organization is quick to praise their 12th man because they know how much of an meaningful impact their fans have on the game. The impact of fanatics showing their love is never something dismiss.
Your mobile app might not have fans quite as loud as the Seahawks, but your fans are just as crucial to your success.

Loud Fans = 5 Star Ratings

You want your fans to be loud, especially in the app store. Positive ratings and reviews are extremely influential in growing your customer base and have an impact on your rankings. The majority of mobile apps only hear from less than 1% of their customer base and more often than not it is only the unhappy customers who speak out. You don’t want your mobile app to be like the Cleveland Indians from the movie Major League and the only people leaving reviews in the app store to be these guys:
Your customers should be considered a part of your team and not just as “users.” Treat your customers with respect and remember that every problem or complaint is an opportunity to improve your mobile app.
